About the workshop
Explore colour, light and atmosphere.
Discover ways to interpret the landscape through composition, colour, depth and atmosphere. Working from landscape references, we'll explore how to simplify shapes, create a sense of space and use colour and brushwork to capture the character of a place.
You can take a more observational approach or experiment with a more expressive interpretation. The emphasis is on developing your skills while finding your own way of painting the landscape.
You'll explore
Composition, colour relationships, depth, light, atmosphere, brushwork and texture.
The course
My five-week acrylic painting courses offer the opportunity to focus on a particular subject over five consecutive sessions. With demonstrations, practical guidance and individual tuition throughout, you'll have time to experiment, build confidence and take your painting further.
My approach is to help each person develop from the stage they are at. Whether you want to improve your technique, explore new ways of working or discover your own interpretation of a subject, I'll offer guidance tailored to your individual needs.
You won't be expected to paint in the same way as everyone else. I encourage you to develop your own ideas, make your own choices and discover what works for you.
Five consecutive Wednesday afternoons, 1.30 - 4.30, booked as one course: £190 for the five sessions.
